Greetings, fellow travelers! April is over, and the end of school is in sight as May approaches. “April showers bring May flowers,” right? Well, we in Texas ought to see an abundance of flowers this May, because we have been inundated with “showers”…let’s just call them what they are–STORMS! Hopefully, that season of golf ball to baseball-size hail is over for this year, as well as the flooding along with it! Speaking of floods, thoughts of summer bring floods of past summers’ memories, mostly with family, don’t they? Hope you and your family are planning a wonderful vacation together this year. The minutes never stop clicking off…the days, weeks, months and years keep sliding by, but the happy memories will stay, and the time spent together is never regretted in later years.
Here’s a quick, delicious, and memorable cake to have ready when the kids come in from school. They’re always hungry, and it doesn’t get easier or more delicious than this!
3-ingredient Dump Cake
1. 2 (20 ounce) cans cherry pie filling
2. 1 box chocolate or devil’s food cake mix, unprepared
3. 3/4 cup butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Dump cherry pie filling into 13×9″ cake pan. Spread evenly in pan. Sprinkle cake mix evenly over filling. Drizzle butter over top, bake for an hour, and serve in the pan. DELICIOUS!
