Hello, World!

TRAVELER’S TREASURE

December 26, 2007

Greetings on the days just after Christmas Day! What a wonderful season…the celebration of the Lord Jesus Christ’s birth!

Don’t know what the weather is where you are, but here in Texas, it’s so very cold today…cloudy, dreary-looking outside. It’s the sort of day that you want to curl up with a good book, watch a favorite movie, or plan New Year’s resolutions while enjoying the last glimpses of the Christmas tree. I can assure you that is best done with a cup of steaming turkey-rice or noodle soup, hot chocolate with marsmallows melting on top, or whatever you have on hand—hot and comforting is the idea—and a few of these delicious sausage squares! Only 3 ingredients!

Sausage Squares

1. 2# ground sausage

2. two 8 oz. packages of cream cheese, softened

3. two 8 oz. packages refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

1. Brown sausage. Drain.

2. Stir in cream cheese until melted and blended. Remove from heat and set aside.

3. Press dough from one tube cresent rolls in a greased 9×13″ baking pan, being sure to cover bottom and part way up sides of pan, leaving no holes.

4. Pour sausage mixture over the top and set aside.

5. Roll remaining crescent roll dough into a 13×9″ rectangle; layer it over sausage mixture.

6. Bake at 350º for 15-20 minutes or until golden; cut into squares to serve.

“Volumes have been written about how to properly behave at weddings or which fork to use at fancy dinners.

“But when it comes to dealing with the neighboring passenger who hogs precious airline arm space or the unruly kid who won’t pipe down on crowded flights, there’s precious little out there.” Read it at MSNBC’s story about air etiquette tips:

Many are already dreaming of their vacation time. I used to be in that group…couldn’t wait until the few weeks of vacation from teaching to squeeze in a much-needed break from the students! But today, I have the option of taking a ridiculously-discounted vacation—whenever I want! I chose to join a wonderful group of work-from-home (or the beach, or the mountains, or wherever) people who have cruises, condo stays, resorts, camping, Disney vacations, and many more options, at our disposal anytime! They provide all the information I need to advertise (at least 75 ways), which is all I do, because they do the selling of the vacation package FOR me! It just doesn’t get better than that! And the least I make on a sale (which the call center does FOR me, remember) is $1000.

Remember that resolution you made a while back about uping your income…spending more time with your family…doing what it takes to better your life? Well, NOW is the time.
